Bringing Out the Dead
Drama • R • 1999 • 2 hr 1 min
This movie is crazy. Every character is off their rocker and every situation is extremely bizarre. Nick Cage was amazing here.
31/2* Intense, edgy performance about emergency med. worker burnt out but addicted to the intensity of his job on the streets of NY.
Another excellent Cage burn-out performance
It's good, but gets a little repetitive and a bit too long.
Very grim, but in a way that actually works. Plus Cage is typically pretty wild.
A very stylized Scorsese film that feels like a waking nightmare. The anxiety & horror are palpable as we see the life of an EMT. Great film
Probably one of Scorsese’s most underrated movies. Incredibly haunting and powerful, with one of Cage’s best performances
Fantastic drama about paramedics and the people they try to save, one of Scorsese’s best works, great acting all around, especially Cage
Maybe Scorsese’s and Cage’s both most underrated movie. The atmosphere and performances are all top notch and should be talked about.
You get all the Cage's here. Excellent Schrader story. Direction shifts from manic to liminal. Score bangs. Excellent supporting cast
