One of my favorites. The acting is great and the actors fit their characters perfectly, just as beautiful as usual for Malick
Similar themes to Bonnie and Clyde with a naive/ psychopathic character contrast. A movie to see if you're interested in a thrill.
Cleverly written, poetic and haunting in a good way, this was one hell of a start for Terrence Malick, and showed us the excellence to come.
Ik it's a classic and all. It was good. But like most road movies its about the journey but this journey felt already used many times.
"In 1959 a lot of people were killing time. Kit and Holly were killing people."
Masterful film - the cinematography is gorgeous.
I loooove this movie, one of the very best by Malick. Slow, meditative and beautifully crafted.
Classic Bonnie/Clyde theme. Just shows how far charm can take you
Beautifully shot, part of the Malick Three Peat (Days of heaven and Thin Red Line). Great Martin sheen performance
Observational in an otherworldly sense that even Malick has never been able to replicate. Every still is a visual epitaph.
An accomplishment in subtle deep meaning through straightforward storytelling. Splendid cinematography and accompanying score. 5/5.
Terrence Malick manages to escape the cliches of a good girl runaway with bad guy story, but not so much
It’s beautiful to look at and Spacek’s talent seems otherworldly but it’s kind of slow and the ending is kind of blah.
Raw cut and paste taste of life in that setting during the time. Some reckless abandon but not up to snuff with similar titles.
The premise is interesting, but the story gets muddled somewhere in Act II, and the main characters aren't interesting enough to save it.
With cinematography that holds up and looks stunning to this day, this movie makes up in visuals for what it lacks in acting chops.
I had higher expectations, but it does a good job of portraying mindless violence. Just don't watch it with super-high expectations.
Great performances by Sissy and Sheen with awesome visuals for a very messed up story. The commentary of fight club before fight club
It's great. Drags a little in the middle. But its great
What could easily be a crime thriller turns out to be a thoughtful meditation on the loss of innocence and the in-between moments in life.
The cinematography in this film is gorgeous! the story and camera movement are sublime. Shows just how far being charismatic can get you.
