This is a slightly lesser Weird Coen Thing, but I love it for Tim Robbins, Paul Newman, and the mailroom full of pneumatic tubes.
Like watching a live-action cartoon. The Coen Brothers at their most zany. I was charmed and blown away.
Cute movie parody of the screwball comedies of the 30s. Sets and costumes were cool. Jennifer Jason Leigh’s Hepburn accent was amusing.
Great production design, some clever dialogue and jokes, but somehow less than the sum of its parts.
It is such a fun, light movie... except the suicide at the beginning.

Very Coen brothers but in a good way. Just the right amount of quirky. Tim Robbins plays the part perfectly. Written by Sam Raimi?? Come on!
