Soulful melodrama with great actors. The doomed love story just felt hokey and bland to me. A pointless story.
Can’t remember anything about this movie.
There was much better movies (like The Harder They Fall, Ace in the Hole, The Apartment), these days.
A classic Hollywood romance with classic Hollywood stars. Nothing too incredible but still an interesting enough story.

Haunting score and story. I really liked it, and recommend it if you’re in the classic Black and White Hollywood.
Plot= second fiddle to the magnificent performances. Clift does his best work here and Taylor is just being as entertaining as she always is

A little long and slow at times. Overall very good and enjoyable. Montgomery should have won the Oscar for this one.
