It’s a fun comedic farce with ups and downs… a lot of downs actually. Good classic Hollywood comedy that hits all the right notes
Classic screwball comedy. Stanwyck and Fonda have perfect chemistry. This one has all that makes a comedy great. You won't be disappointed!
Hilarious! I was delighted to watch it and can’t wait to share the experience with any friend who hasn’t seen it yet!
Old comedies are tough since there are no laughs in this and not much else to latch on to. I know I’m in the minority on this one though
Slightly overrated. Stanwyck is a doll, and Fonda is in fine form. It’s all relentlessly charming and stylish. Just pretty slight imo.
A very peerless screwball comedy. Must watch for the classic cinema.

Fifth Avenue socialite Irene Bullock needs a "forgotten man" to win a scavenger hunt, and no one is more forgotten than Godfrey Park, who resides in a dump by the East River. Irene hires Godfrey as a servant for her riotously unhinged family, to the chagrin of her spoiled sister, Cornelia, who tries her best to get Godfrey fired. As Irene falls for her new butler, Godfrey turns the tables and teaches the frivolous Bullocks a lesson or two.
