A simple story with lots of humor and wit, the visual part is also very good and creative. A brilliant and amazingly entertaining movie.

Really incredible for the time being pre-code. Really funny and all the trimmings of a classic Hollywood romantic comedy
Jack Watson

Has charming moments here and there, though they are nearly all as comical scenes, not whenever the plot becomes straight-lace romance.

Crackles with wit and humor, one of the true greats of the 30’s. Brisk pace and editing stand out.
