Fantastic acting and intense at points, but emotionally fulfilling.
It felt long, but that might have been because my stream was bad. The direction, Bancroft and Duke are phenomenal. Especially the acting.
Helen Keller and her miracle worker. Bancroft is superb as teacher. Duke is raw and uncomfortable. B&W works well for theme.
A really powerful story and Oscar worthy performace by Anne Bancroft.
A touching and insightful true story. Like most old movies, has a tendency to be over acted and long in places but pretty solid performances

Worth a try if interested but mixed feelings bc it goes from good to boring, insane & even icky in parts (tho some of it’s just the reality)
