Teetering on "just ok" because there are some clichéd characters & story beats. However, the performances are next level especially Viggo's.
I am very impressed with Vigo willing to hang dong with such a confusingly large penis, to quote Von Trier. Movie could have gone flaccid.

Dirty and gritty story. Crazy to me that these types of worlds and people exist. Mortensen is a bad ass as usual. Watts was a good choice.
Whatever Viggo does, he does it perfectly. This is no exception. He stole the show with his performance and somehow didn't get an Oscar.
I got really invested in the story. Def some disturbing scenes. But character development and storytelling is absolutely amazing.
Great performance from Viggo. The stellar script allows Cronenberg's directorial skills to truly shine in this crime/drama gangsta flick.
