The best movie I have ever seen - incredible story, acting, and a true example of expressionist filmmaking
this, along with a whole host of cyberpunk & Sci fi, looked at the philosophy of our existence. Great to get the grey matter ticking
Terrific psychological sci-fi idea and execution. We were late and crashed blindly into half the cinema finding a seat in pitch black dark.
Excellent dystopian sci-fi movie, great sci-fi story ahead of its time with superb production design. Dark and entertaining, worth watching
Visually creative sci-fi with a profound message
A highly intriguing noir film that makes a good companion piece to the similar Matrix film. Watch the Director’s Cut though.
Great precursor, so to speak, to Matrix! With many of the motifs present there, great actors, interesting story, and visuals match the name.
Remember when Alex Proyas made brilliant films? Here is proof he could.
Very much the underdog movie to the matrix that came out a year later. But I prefer this in all its noir-y goodness. Yay for Richard O'Brien
This movie is stylistically my absolute favorite. The horror and sci fi elements fuse perfectly. Disturbing, stylized, dark and phenomenal.
