Not just a “great western,” but truly an incredible film! The performances, story, and final few shots tie it all together perfectly!
Great Casting, Direction, really good western. Ending did leave me a little confused, but I finally understand it, and accepted it.
A solid western from James Mangold, with great performances by Crowe and Bale.
Crowe shines in this western. Never saw the original had this on my list. Happy I finally got to it, tense all the way through great acting
Drags westerns kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Purists will say it isn’t as good as the original. They’re right. It’s better.

Bale and Crowe what a duo. At a certain point in the movie I just accepted it’s the 2nd best western to date.
Intense, with solid acting and great storyline. Good character design that builds throughout. How far would you go to do what was right?
