A bit slow, but tackles the classic Western masculine drive with some depth, on a fairly tense escort mission where the law is the underdog.
Classic western, one of the best of the 21st century
This is honestly my favorite western of all time. Russel Crowe and Christian Bale were great as usual! The story and ending are great 10/10!
Not just a “great western,” but truly an incredible film! The performances, story, and final few shots tie it all together perfectly!
I really enjoyed it. Another Christian bale movie that will have you entertained. Russell Crowe makes a great counter part.

Bale and Crowe what a duo. At a certain point in the movie I just accepted it’s the 2nd best western to date.
Intense, with solid acting and great storyline. Good character design that builds throughout. How far would you go to do what was right?
A solid western from James Mangold, with great performances by Crowe and Bale.
Drags westerns kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Purists will say it isn’t as good as the original. They’re right. It’s better.
