The Night of the Hunter
Crime • NR • 1955 • 1 hr 33 min
Gorgeous film, extremely well made movie with some haunting visuals. Would have loved to see more from this creative team
Robert mitchum is amazing! He is perfect and terrifying as the villain. Also, the noir cinematography is stunning.
definitely an interesting one, not sure how much it resonated with me personally but still unique.
Robert Mitchum’s performance is just as unnerving as I am sure it was in 1955. The film was beautifully shot and has aged like a fine wine.
Brilliant and extremely well done for its time. Go watch it right now
What makes this film is its villain. I wouldn’t want this hunter hunting me. Very atmospheric, eerie, and ahead of its time.
One of those films I go back and watch purely for the visual beauty, but then as the cherry on top it’s got great story, acting, design, etc
Stunning crime thriller movie with amazing cinematography just beautiful for its time. Mitchum is incredible, must see movie
