Slow going at times, but once it wraps up you can feel the “I fucked up” coming off everyone, despite still being masked in delusory hope.
one of herzog's famous collaborations with kinski, the visceral quality of this film shot in the jungles of peru is unique & will affect you
Absolutely great. I can't stress enough how beautiful this movie is, and the plot is also very interesting.
An exhilarating portrayal of the pursuit of power and riches, and the destruction it can bring. Acting and writing are both phenomenal.
Slow but powerful. It's better if you know about the struggle it was to actually make.
