Real solid show. The acting, the costumes and the storytelling are all great. Exactly what you want/expect from an HBO series.
I didn't expect it to be so good. So many interesting lives in one story.
Top period piece from vice area of NYC in 70s/80s. Pimps, prostitutes, police corruption, property booms, powder, porn. What else you need?
A compelling, compassionate account of New York City’s underground in the 1970s-80s & the role it played in forming the adult film industry
Excellent series that'll keep you gripped on!
saying it's about the pornography industry is like saying the wire is about drugs. it's about people and the characters are all well created
Another David Simon masterclass. Gritty dark filled with lovable characters; Same recipe ‘the wire’ had. Highly recommended.
Brilliant. The effort gone to in order to recreate 1970s New York is incredible. Gritty and engaging story as well. Love it.
Interesting show, I've learned a lot from it
I didn't feel it was a masterpiece. It is an important story that should have been tolled. The periodic setting and the performance are WOW
