Top notch screenplay with a delivery that creates something original vs. a cheesy spoof. It still holds up decades later.
One of the best comedies of all time, still holds up (like of Brook's films).
Very funny parody of the Frankenstein series, enjoyable from start to finish regardless of your familiarity with the source material
Absolutely bonkers but a boatload of belly laughs, especially in the second half. It might not be everyone's cup of tea though. 8/10

Equal parts parody and homage, this Mel Brooks spoof is a classic with great gags and a stand out performance by Gene Wilder.
One of the best comedies ever made. Wilder as a performer and co-writer brought a sincerity that compliments Brooks’ zaniness well.

King Arthur, accompanied by his squire, recruits his Knights of the Round Table, including Sir Bedevere the Wise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot and Sir Galahad the Pure. On the way, Arthur battles the Black Knight who, despite having had all his limbs chopped off, insists he can still fight. They reach Camelot, but Arthur decides not to enter, as "it is a silly place".
Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah, a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby stepbrother away.
