National Lampoon's Vacation

Definitely the best of the Vacation movies.
Many films & jokes owe a lot to this oft-imitated Ramis classic. Dated at times but still fun. Be on the look for some young familiar faces.
Maybe the most all time classic of the vacation movies
Enjoyably silly road trip comedy, cheesy but well-done, some very big laughs
Classic and still holds up to this day. I still catch myself watching this from time to time. Watch it
An absolute classic, however, I’ll always prefer Christmas Vacation. But, I would definitely put this at #2 for the franchise.
I hear a lot of people praise Christmas Vacation but this is just as good. Not a hidden gem but underrated and funny.
Funny, stupid, and a bit over the top. Americans going across Europe in the 80s. Definitely captures that 80s feel.
A hilarious take on how families work and how their problems get sorted out,Chevy Chase really made this funny and memorable.
I watched the Ed helms version not knowing that it was basically the same as this movie and holy hell this one is better
Clark Griswold is on a quest to take his family to the Walley World theme park for a vacation, but things don't go exactly as planned.
The Griswalds win a vacation to Europe on a game show, and so pack their bags for the continent. They do their best to catch the flavor of Europe, but they just don't know how to be be good tourists. Besides, they have trouble taking holidays in countries where they CAN speak the language.
It's Christmastime, and the Griswolds are preparing for a family seasonal celebration. But things never run smoothly for Clark, his wife Ellen, and their two kids. Clark's continual bad luck is worsened by his obnoxious family guests, but he manages to keep going, knowing that his Christmas bonus is due soon.
The Griswold family hits the road again for a typically ill-fated vacation, this time to the glitzy mecca of slots and showgirls—Las Vegas.
