For the most part, this film looks great with almost no CGI. But when there is, it doesn't hold up as much. Great story and characters

As a 6yo I found it terrifying. Had to rewatch as a teen to realize it was a fantastic movie.
The acting is not so good, but I adore this movie. The puppetry / practical effects are world class and Bowie is such a damn icon in it.
A fantasy filled with so many interesting characters . You won’t know where to look.

While hiding from bullies in his school's attic, a young boy discovers the extraordinary land of Fantasia, through a magical book called The Neverending Story. The book tells the tale of Atreyu, a young warrior who, with the help of a luck dragon named Falkor, must save Fantasia from the destruction of The Nothing.
