Modern horror well made. Won’t make top of the year lists but for quiet speculative horror that turns to real horror. Here you go

Though it's unquestionably a horror film, the bit I enjoyed most was the lasting friendship. Delivers scares w/o jump scenes/huge effects.
Subverts most or all expectations you may have from a "horror" film. Well written and acted. Definitely worth 80 minutes of your time.
