I love this movie, the drama, the terror, the karloff!
Great performance from boris karloff he carries this movie
A very slow paced movie with a plot different from first time seeing expectations. Still a classic though thanks to Boris Karloff.
Unlike the 90's remake, I couldn't help but cheer for Imhotep. Karloff's stare is iconic... my second favourite of the Universal monsters.
Very Interesting to see how the remake borrows from this movie
Another iconic performance from Boris Karloff. The man just secretes creepiness 👌
Karloff carries this dry, dusty entry for Universal. Interesting but very slow paced.
Fun to see the similarities from this movie to the 1999 and 2001 releases of The Mummy. Boris was amazing and super creepy!
Karloff is, of course, genius in this role. The ending is so abrupt modern horror fans will laugh. Liked it as a window into horror history.
Karloff is terrific. It’s a classic for a reason.

A high priest of Karnak travels to America with the living mummy Kharis (Lon Chaney Jr.) to kill all those who had desecrated the tomb of the Egyptian princess Ananka thirty years earlier.
An Egyptian high priest travels to America to reclaim the bodies of ancient Egyptian princess Ananka and her living guardian mummy Kharis. Learning that Ananka's spirit has been reincarnated into another body, he kidnaps a young woman of Egyptian descent with a mysterious resemblance to the princess. However, the high priest's greedy desires cause him to lose control of the mummy...
After being buried in quicksand for the past 25 years, Kharis is set free to roam the rural bayous of Louisiana, as is the soul of his beloved Princess Ananka, still housed in the body of Amina Mansouri, who seeks help and protection at a swamp draining project.
