So real it’s like watching a home movie. Violent and nasty but ultimately satisfying. Weirdest horror movie soundtrack ever.
Still packs a horrific punch after all these years.
Woah. Great revenge film. The remake's acting is far superior but rape scene in this one was as disturbing as it gets.

Made 4 years after the Hayes code ended, this is exploitation horror. It's cheesy and terrible, and everyone knew it, which makes it good!
Craven makes a sharp horror-tinted satire of American society in the early 70s, as sordid as a cheap B horror film with some farce elements.
Awful feels harsh but I rly didn’t enjoy this tbh 🫠 Strange pacing, the gore felt voyeuristic but pointless & the climax comes too late IMO
