I became obsessed with this movie long before I ever saw it just based on the synopsis. And eventually, I saw it and it didn’t disappoint.
Bizarre horror movie, not my favorite Cronenberg film but worth a watch if you’re a fan
This film is equally horrifying as it is weird, in the best way possible. Great performances in one of Cronenberg's best.
Haven’t been this creeped in a while. Boasts major Child’s Play vibes (or I suppose that would be reversed!). Genuinely scary.
Creepy, weird, body-horror, Canadian. A must watch for a Cronenberg fan.
Cronenberg's first dive into the psychology of humans and stylistic body horror. Good watch if you're a fan of his early works.
David Cronenberg on subversively fine form.
Some decent special effects in a movie where everything else is very average
Achingly slow but the absolutely bananas climax almost makes it worth it
Cronenberg's eerie, unnerving and degeneration of the human body. My heart was pounding. Memorable ending.
Dark but compelling nightmare film with some great yet disturbing imagery
Certainly a fascinating film. It tackles the topics of rage in a very abstract way. It also doesn’t hurt that the ending is completely bonke
Very original , with a good and surprising ending. Good gore scenes too.
Not my favorite by Cronenberg, but it's his standard crazy with a disturbing and mysterious plot
I love anything Cronenberg, and this is a good one. Really unsettling.
Took a second watch for me to warm up to this, but I'm glad I did. Very engaging.
A slowburn, with an interesting concept. Worth watching just to see the ending with its incredible set piece.
Not my favorite Cronenberg, but still good.
A beginning and stepping stone to a master of body horror. Not the best of all his films, but still an enjoyable and creepy watch.
A somewhat interesting (somewhat boring) family driven drama explodes into visceral, visual metaphor in an unusual and satisfying final act.
