Quite different in tone from the original, this one is almost played for laughs at times, but it keeps the story interesting
Excellent addition to the Universal Monster Movie collection.
Feels like so much of the Frankenstein mythos is in this movie and not its predecessor
A great sequel to the original that feels more raw and realized. Good acting for it's time, and the Brides design is flawless.

I was led to believe it surpassed the original. It's equal at best, which is pretty good for a sequel, even in 1935.
Masterful film, cinematography and lighting are amazing. Over all very beautiful. I’m also just a sucker for anything Frankenstein.

Henry Frankenstein pieces together body parts in the hope of bringing a human-like creature to life. The mad scientist’s dreams are shattered by his monstrous creation awakening with rage to a world that hates and fears him.
Dr. Frankenstein and his monster both turn out to be alive after being attacked by an angry mob. The now-chastened scientist attempts to escape his past, but a former mentor forces him to assist with the creation of a new creature.
One of the sons of late Dr. Henry Frankenstein finds his father's ghoulish creation in a coma and revives him, only to find out the monster is controlled by Ygor who is bent on revenge.
Frankenstein's unscrupulous colleague, Dr. Bohmer, plans to transplant Ygor's brain so he can rule the world using the monster's body, but the plan goes sour when he turns malevolent and goes on a rampage.
Deranged scientist, Gustav Niemann, escapes from prison and overtakes the director of a traveling chamber of horrors, soon reviving the infamous Count Dracula, the frozen Frankenstein Monster, and the Wolf Man.
