Mate don’t even bother with the first one, this one’s where it’s AT!
Hits harder than the original, literally and figuratively. Deals with deeper moral and existential themes. The fight goes beyond the ring.
A worthy sequel that is overshadowed in discussions by the over the top entries. I love it.
A worthy successor. In a lot of ways, it almost feels like this was what the first movie would have been with a bigger budget.
A deeper film than the first. Shows a lot of character and a rise through the film. Quite inspirational but from a sadder tone
This film makes you feel as if you can fly. As if the world around you is shrinking and there’s nothing you can’t conquer. Best movie ever.
Has some pacing issues, but it's a nice continuation. I think I like it better than the original in some ways.
It’s characters are handled with such care and focus, and the very soul of this movie makes me want to cheer each of them on too.
Rocky has to deal with family life and a possible rematch with Applo Creed.
From a narrative perspective Rocky II humanizes the character. An athlete struggling with daily problems, looking to provide for his family
