Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Thriller • PG-13 • 2011 • 1 hr 45 min
Great reboot of the series, the effects are shockingly good and the world building is interesting! The apes are detailed & great characters
I feel like Andy Serkis is what kind of makes this movie what it is. Him playing Cesar & showing all those emotions facially & what not
A solid start to an amazing trilogy. It has an intriguing storyline that is made by Serkis’ performance.
A great movie, interesting take on the planet of the apes story.
Impossibly good, excellent thriller with anti-animal cruelty messages.
saw it in middle school, remember it at least being decent enough to wanna see the sequels
Not only does the CG hold up to this day, but the story is full of scientific intrigue and high emotion, giving it a well-balanced tone.
Yeah it’s pretty solid. A solid sifi only flaw really is ever so slightly cheesy dialogue and the pacing is a bit off but nah it intriguing.
A solid start to a trilogy that would only get better and better with each installment.
This one totally took me by surprise. Tremendous storyline, emotional, thrilling. Excellent movie.

As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
Several generations in the future following Caesar's reign, apes are now the dominant species and live harmoniously while humans have been reduced to living in the shadows.
