This movie would have been less horrifying if violence did occur but there is none. The emotional wrenching makes it terrifying.
It's very Beautiful . Ending is very effective . Good form that I love
Subtle tension building story with nice character dynamics.
Requires a little suspension of disbelief, but it's worth it for that ending.
I was a little unconvinced throughout the movie, but then the end... Such an end
Interesting plot and cast Would prefer differend ending scene
Incredibly tense, with an ending that will be thinking about days after watching.
Maybe one of the best German movies; feels like a version of Vertigo with brilliant acting. Very thought provoking
It's like Fox Animations Anastasia on Crack.
my favourite part was the crisp interior design, which is to say, it was just alright

Shot in documentary style from the perspective of an almost alien observer, the film is an exploration of the ravaged oil fields of post-Gulf War Kuwait. An effective companion to his earlier film Fata Morgana, Herzog again perceives the desert as a landscape with its own voice, as he glides over seas of oil, geyser-like infernos, monstrous smoke plumes and ashen roadways. With musical accompaniment by Wagner, Prokofiev and Pärt to boot, he observes the soot-covered creatures allured by the blaze.
