A philistine in the art film business, Jeremy Prokosch is a producer unhappy with the work of his director. Prokosch has hired Fritz Lang to direct an adaptation of "The Odyssey," but when it seems that the legendary filmmaker is making a picture destined to bomb at the box office, he brings in a screenwriter to energize the script. The professional intersects with the personal when a rift develops between the writer and his wife.

One of my fav Godard. It is exquisite. The whole decay of one's marriage depicted magnificently. Bardot did her job as no one could. 9.9/10

Godard at his most mainstream and accessible. Great movie that has all the elements that one loves to see from Godard.

A gorgeous new 4k transfer really highlights Godard’s brilliant direction as well Palance’s masterly performance which dominates the film.

I don't really watch movies this old and I had to watch a Godard movie & write an essay on it. I'm glad I've chosen this one.

Its a good film. It’s pretty meta. Nice use of film conventions, but I prefer other Goddard films.

Not my favorite Godard. still thought provoking on a failing relationship. Like any good art film, makes you think about life and meaning

Eventually, their romantic view of outlaws pushes them to plan their own heist, but their inexperience may send them out in a blaze of glory -- which could be just what they want.
