This was very poetic in its cinematography. A grim view of a materialistic world through the eyes of a young woman looking for much more.
Modernist, weird, and VERY slow. I reccomend watching Red Desert instead, as it feels like a more focused take on these same ideas.
A great movie which can make you tremble to the bone. The slow pace and the portrayed alienation is a hard criticism toward modernism.
It’s two hours of desolate, isolated landscapes and Monica Vitti’s facial expressions. It’s different, it’s well-crafted, but is it good?
