Underrated work from Bergman. It’s one of the best movies ever made
Long film but great storytelling from the amazing Ingmar Bergman. I'd start with The Seventh Seal but still highly recommend this movie.
The 5hr cut (4☆) has its own entry. Don't know which one u saw, but the 3hr cut everyone raves about is missing a lot of the best scenes.
One of the best bergmans and maybe the best look at grief ever
Just beautiful cinema on display. Bergman brings his cinematic eye to the eye of a child and their experience growing up.
Love how surreal and dreamy this is. Despite the length and period setting, it feels oddly modern. Beautifully made

Esquisit cinematography and deep character construction. Bergmann has this ability to make you experience a pleasant uncomfort.
A masterly film: camera, art direction, dialogue: among the greatest. The day viewers can't appreciate it, we are all f_cked
Watched the 5h cut, amazing. Some monologues are out of this world.

For young Parisian boy Antoine Doinel, life is one difficult situation after another.
