Title should've been a good indication, but this movie has the most horrible and annoying sounds
The birthing imagery throughout this film casts quite a spell. Remarkable rumination on death and life. I probably need to rewatch it.
It's Bergman. You are in the best hands there can possibly be in film
Ruthlessly depressing. But will leave you thinking about it for a long time. A must watch for film lovers.

My favorite Bergman. Luscious and evocative.
So much subtext underneath this slow moving drama about three sisters. A lot to dig into, shows three different perspectives of love.
A really beautiful, authentic and somewhat disturbing movie
a shudderingly penetrating look into the female conception of self, written and directed by a man, as it was. nonetheless, flowers deserved.

As children in the loving Ekdahl family, Fanny and Alexander enjoy a happy life with their parents, who run a theater company.
