What else can be said here? Inexplainable charm, side splitting humor, and an unnecessary gopher. Bill Murray delivers as usual. Great film

I mean it’s Chevy Chase at the top of his game! No one cast member doesn’t get a laugh somehow. It’s a Cinderella movie for sure!
As a kid I liked it for the gopher. Watching now I can appreciate the humor more. Plays out more like a string of small skits than a story
Chase is a highlight of this film, which feels like loosely connected, yet great, sketches at times. A hilarious story of class struggle.

This has some of the funniest characters and scenes ever in a comedy. However, the film as a whole isn't the classic it's made out to be.
With so many plot points happening at once, they still managed to pull off a funny and memorable movie.

At an exclusive country club, an ambitious young caddy, Danny Noonan, eagerly pursues a caddy scholarship in hopes of attending college and, in turn, avoiding a job at the lumber yard. In order to succeed, he must first win the favour of the elitist Judge Smails, and then the caddy golf tournament which Smails sponsors.
When a crass new-money tycoon's membership application is turned down at a snooty country club, he retaliates by buying the club and turning it into a tacky amusement park.
