Weird that this story keeps getting remade. This is my favorite one personally. Mason and Garland hit all the right notes.
Enjoyed the original and remake, but this is the definitive version, in my opinion. James Mason & Judy Garland simply tear your heart out.
First remake of the original 1937 film. Judy Garland is revelatory in this. “The Man that Got Away” is a great musical performance.
A true classic movie. The remake is good, but the original has a more dignified story arc. Judy Garland at her finest!

I knew about this performance before I even saw the film. Beautiful well done remake.
An emotionally complex film with great acting, direction, and lovely cinematography. Cukor’s direction feels off at times, though.
This is a masterpiece of American cinema. Everyone should watch it at least once
