I’d say The Prisoner is between meh and good, mostly due to the choppy jump cuts & very slow pacing. One of the firsts to define this genre.

Did it make sense? No. Did it need to? Hell no! A work of mad genius, brilliant.

Smartly-written thriller with a great lead in the sardonic McGoohan, whose creative input ironically resulted in some awful final episodes.

The most masterful combo between New Wave and surrealism since "8 1/2”. "Controversial" on several lvls above content. See with friends
