Essential watch for most African Americans.
A hard hitting drama of America's dirty past.
An incredibly harrowing series that chronicles the life of an enslaved man from origins of enslavement to emancipation. A must watch.
Revolutionary, important, and extremely well-made. Especially for basic cable in the 70s— projects of this caliber was unheard in TV then.
This is definitely a pretty good series but it is pretty sad scenes on here
It can be dated at times (mostly with the score) the final episode drags a bit but otherwise I really liked it.
Based on Alex Haleys fabricated version of history. The movie was well produced, but it was based on a bunch of damn lies.
I get why it's iconic and there are some excellent performances. It's just not that engaging.
I will never forget the story of Kunta Kinte and how I felt every emotion as he did.
One of the most compelling tv shows ever created. Very hard to watch at times but still worth to view.
