I always loved watching The Johnny Carson show.
Carson was the pinnacle of late night talk. It was unfortunate when he retired & left his prized show in the hands of that idiot Jay Leno
Classic talk/variety show. Set the table for all others that came after.
Some great comedy, not everything aged well but still highly entertaining
A late night show that lasted 30 years had to have something special. Carson was actually an intellectual behind his breeziness.
The archetype of the classic late-night talk show. Also marks when the format was at its highpoint.
Johnny Carson paved the way for everyone else in late night TV
Funny and original
