It’s inSANE how they were able to get Warner and Disney to both approve their characters interacting together. Truly lightning in a bottle!
Recently rewatched and it holds up. Bob Hoskins is just the right balance of funny and tragic. Christopher Lloyd is truly terrifying.

I saw this at the cinema as a 12-year-old. Watching it again 36 years later, it’s almost indescribable. A goofy noir with top-notch EFX!
The tech to do VFX like this has gotten better, and yet rarely do they look as seamless and great. Still stunning and totally entertaining.
