A disappointing sequel with a weak plot and dumb action scenes that fails to recapture the excitement of the original.
Sort of a sequel to the first but not directly! There was also 1 or 2 with Dolph, that are quite good.
Goldberg is in it. Not sure if that’s a positive or a negative thing. Other than that, it’s just another totally unremarkable action flick.
The zaniest JCVD film there might be. Very entertaining when your brain is turned off.
It’s never a good sign when a sequel ignores the continuity of the first film. This movie does that and a delivers lackluster endeavor.

Terrible. Just watch the original. The original is a must see for 90s action fans. But this sequel is a travesty.
He’s back. And the series can move along.

An American soldier who had been killed during the Vietnam War is revived 25 years later by the military as a semi-android, UniSols, a high-tech soldier of the future. After the failure of the initiative to erase all the soldier's memories, he begins to experience flashbacks that are forcing him to recall his past.
With the UniSol program budget cut by the government, a gang of mercenaries takes control of the new line of Universal Soldiers for their own nefarious ends. In doing so, they clash with Luc Deveraux, survivor of the first incident with the UniSols, alongside his long-lost and newly-resurrected brother Eric and reporter Veronica Roberts.
When reporter Veronica Roberts unwillingly gets involved in a hostage situation and is forced to escape, she and Luc Devereaux go into hiding. Meanwhile, Dr. Walker and Mentor get set with a powerful new Universal Soldier and a lethal plan.
Luc Deveraux, the heroic former Universal Soldier, is about to be thrown into action once again. When SETH, the supercomputer-controlled ultra-warrior, decides to take revenge and destroy its creators, only Luc can stop it. All hell breaks loose as Luc battles SETH and a deadly team of perfect soldiers in a struggle that pits man against machine and good against evil.
When terrorists threaten nuclear catastrophe at Chernobyl, the world's only hope is to reactivate decommissioned Universal Soldier Luc Deveraux.
