Solid film with well delivered characters surrounded by a clearly dangerous world. Some extremely intense scenes and excellent performances.

Not sure why I waited this long to watch this movie. Just another example of what a special talent Denzel is. 5 star acting folks.

Training Day: Day of the Riot

A prequel to the 2001 film Training Day. It will reportedly follow a younger version of Denzel Washington's character, Alonzo Harris, during the violent Los Angeles riots of 1992 following the controversial Rodney King verdict.

To take down South Boston's Irish Mafia, the police send in one of their own to infiltrate the underworld, not realizing the syndicate has done likewise. While an undercover cop curries favor with the mob kingpin, a career criminal rises through the police ranks. But both sides soon discover there's a mole among them.
