Kuwasawa’s MacBeth has enough different that anyone who enjoys the Scottish play should watch. Features Mifune at his most insane.
The best adaptation of Macbeth. Another masterpiece by Kurosawa, the genius Japanese director. Cinematography and acting are all great.
A moody and deliberate ghost story that pays off big in the last half hour. Worth every second of build up. Mifune is crazy good here.
