Holds up excellently. Strong performances and powerful, successful messaging. Not the MOST realistic or intricate, but 100% worth the watch
I would describe the movie as a David and Goliath type story. A washed up drunken lawyer against a high power, dream team of attorneys.
Great movie, a down and out, drunken lawyer, gets the break he needs to reboot his career, by facing off against a legal power house.
Terrific film. Newman's performance is so good and the script by Mamet and direction by Lumet keep everything taught and intriguing.
Please Sidney Lumet, come back to life and be immortal. Like no one else, he proudly achieves at least ☆☆☆ in anything he sets his mind to.

this movie, despite having a dark tone gave me hope.
The legendary Paul Newman gives arguably his best performance here. Tense, gritty, and riveting from scene one. Fantastic courtroom drama.
