Malick's version of the Pocahontas story is beautiful and very visually stunning. It uses film very effectively to move the audience. 8-9/10
I really cant decide whether this movie is a catastrophy or a master piece. It could be either or, but it is definitely worth a watch
A movie driven by image more than narrative, The New World is a mixed success even though Malick nails his thesis.
Although the narrative does somewhat take over and diminish the movie near the end, but the movie is a masterwork in visual cinema.
Malick’s 2nd best film. Only just behind the thin red line. Masterpiece
A fantastic portrayal of the well known story. Sets, direction, acting, and cinematography are all amazing. It’s just a little slow at times
For a moment Pocahontas smiling whilst skipping through the forest does really seem like the purest, most beautiful thing imaginable

A few decades after the destruction of the Inca Empire, a Spanish expedition led by the infamous Aguirre leaves the mountains of Peru and goes down the Amazon River in search of the lost city of El Dorado. When great difficulties arise, Aguirre’s men start to wonder whether their quest will lead them to prosperity or certain death.
A gambler and a prostitute become thriving business partners in a remote Old West mining town until a large corporation arrives on the scene.
Impoverished priest Harihar Ray, dreaming of a better life for himself and his family, leaves his rural Bengal village in search of work.
