Based on a true story. McQueen and cast bring real courage to life. Great tension and twists. Knowing the ending - still enjoyable!

This very much feels like the kind of film that couldn’t get green lit today. It’s meandering without losing focus and it’s unflinching

An honour to watch the inspiration for ‘Chicken Run’, one of my all-time favs. Fun fact: my grandma was friends with one of the escapees.

As good as cracked up to be. Amazing war tale even if Americanised (none in reality) & Anglophonised at the expense of Allied Europeans.

Shows a close reality of what it was like to be in a German war camp. And is fun to watch the characters piece together the plan of escape.

A thinking man's action movie with a bunch of big names from that era.
