Excellent visuals, whimsical and humanizing stories of personhood. Wes Anderson creates another world for viewers to nestle in & experience
The cinematography is really well done and the stories are a bit all over but fun to watch.
vignette narrative style made me miss more rich characters from wes’s other films, but still aesthetically stunning and a fun ride
The story starts off strong but some of the narrative is less interesting. At least check out the first 3rd of the film
I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan but this movie just didn’t work for me. I loved a couple of the stories but I felt they didn’t fit together.
Fun vignettes about reporters at a newspaper, culminating in an anticlimactic but sweet ending.
If you know wes you know what to expect but it can feel a little aimless if not prepared
This movie is Wes Anderson's quirky, eccentric, deadpan comedic style dialed up to 11, and I couldn't be any more amazed by it.
I’m not much of a Wes fan, but I thought this was very good
In thestylistic the vein of Grand Budapest, Wes Anderson explores three stories in a French city with a more subdued tone. To great effect.
Stories within stories vividly told, with a fine touch to details and things. Visual storytelling at it's finest. A real movie.
It is very fun to see Wes mess around with more experimental approaches than in his other films. The pacing is undeniably rushed, however.
TFD encompasses everything wonderful about an Anderson film while standing on its own as a love letter to the art of language and journalism
Cinematography is superb, Wes Anderson's art style is very prevalent. The story is a little hard to follow and the film feels a tad too long
It's good, but i won't watch another Wes movie for at least 6 months.
If you like Wes Anderson, this is a Wes Anderson film, although I found it didn’t have the same charm as some of his previous films.
Though I long ago grew weary of Anderson's recycled twee affectations, they've finally found an excellent format in which to thrive.
Not Wes Anderson's best but a delightful movie none the less! I would recommend it to anyone!
LOVED the first part, the rest was just very good!
Totally Wes Anderson. The story is a bit quirky, but the clockwork movements, tones, and perfectly balanced cinematography make it enjoyable
