Only those who have seen Citizen Kane can understand the beauty and charm of this film, of course, the rhythm of the film is very low!

There’s a lot of push and pull with pacing, but it’s not what I anticipated. It had some of the Golden Age charm. Well done.
Definitely one for the film buffs. The story of how Citizen Kane was written. Dripping with irony and great performances. A bit of fun
Dialogue and cinematography is fantastic, however it’s difficult to become emotionally invested in. The average moviegoer will be bored.

A brilliant and loving homage to Fincher's late father, the "golden era of Hollywood," and a classic film. High barrier to entry, though.
Interesting character study piece. Not his best, but still you get great performances from everyone and a throwback to old Hollywood.
a visual feat even for a Fincher. dialogue has a lot more quirk and personality than other historical dramas. editing keeps a great pace.
