I thought it was alright could of been way better
One of the few movies I felt bad for wasting my money to see.
The acting is so bad it’s hard to get through

Most horror remakes are bad and this is no exception.
Not as bad as it's reputation but definitely can't recommend it to anyone
I’d rather have someone fart directly into my mouth than be subjugated to this inept remake of the John Carpenter classic.
A vague wandering bit of nonsense that seems based on the classic, but with little understanding of filmmaking or storytelling.
definitely in the running for worst remake of all time. falls victim to horrible acting, simple writing, and a nonsensical storyline. 3/10

In the year 2455, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries -- a brown world of violent storms, toxic landmasses and poisonous seas. George Lutz, his wife Kathy, and their three children have just moved into a beautiful, and improbably cheap, Dutch colonial mansion nestled in the sleepy coastal town of Amityville, Long Island. However, their dream home is concealing a horrific past and soon each member of the Lutz family is plagued with increasingly strange and violent visions and impulses.
Strange things begin to occur as a tiny California coastal town prepares to commemorate its centenary. Inanimate objects spring eerily to life; Rev. Malone stumbles upon a dark secret about the town's founding; radio announcer Stevie witnesses a mystical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth discovers the mutilated corpse of a fisherman. Then a mysterious iridescent fog descends upon the village, and more people start to die.
