A surrealist commentary that doesn’t leave the strongest impression, but it’s fun to watch

Series of vignettes satirizing European middle class as only Bunuel could do. See at least one of his movies. Don't be afraid of subtitles.

This movie has so much input and much more charm than any bourgeoisie

Very silly given how are artistic and pretentious the conversations around this film are. Quite a nice, surreal surprise!

It’s a light and playful satire movie — no more, no less. Some scenes if taken out of context would look absolutely insane

Brilliant and funny satire. The actors are a blast. The use of camera movement to tell the story is superb.

The dream of desperately looking for a bathroom you never find, reading political theory as you hunt. Wonderfully unsatisfying, acutely odd.

A surrealist film tethered arpund a few central conceits yields bewildering amusement, and a picture of 1970s France. Fernando Rey!

I enjoy it more if I just accept it as an experience but I do understand the social comentary and critique towards a social class.
