Great episodic Dickensian/Quixotic saga of misadventures with a winning performance from McDowell
It was a bit long but great movie. Underrated performance from Malcolm.
A naturalistic Clockwork Orange. How the lie of civilized society creates havoc. 70s British film took chances. Didn't compete w/ Hollywood.
A shame that MacDowell only has @10 really good roles in his long career, much like Tim Curry! Other hand, many actors barely get 1!
