Certainly controversial but worth the watch
Lord of the Flies set in boarding school. A study of how a dysfunctional education leads to out of control insanity.
Another crazy early Malcolm McDowell role, its themes are quite relevant today and it seems like less of a fantasy now than it was back then
A truly zeitgeist 60's flick I only saw the once at college in the 80's, & got in trouble in my English class 4 writing it as my own idea!🤬
All I could think of was a mix of the song “Another brick in the wall pt2” by Pink Floyd and the movie “We need to talk about Kevin”
The surreal moments caught me off-guard. I didn't get them all, but the main theme is always in the open. This is prestigious filmmaking.
Many of the themes and narratives of the film still ring true today.
