A big little movie about faith and missing the past. Wish i could write a longer review, this was a life changing experience. So much to say
It hits you hard while it is very difficult to tell why. It is slow, boring and moving like nothing you've seen before.
Feels gloomy and haunting and it's perfect. All the scenery is amazing, the characters are great. And that 10 minute scene...mixed feelings
Almost autobiographical, probably one of the darkest Tarkovsky but a huge one nonetheless
Achingly, back-breakingly slow, but this is a capital-F Film, poetic, beautiful, and rich in its quiet simplicity.
One of the greatest art films in the history of the medium, and perhaps the most human of them all.
Definitely super quite and slow, but another win for Tarkovsky in my opinion.
One of the most underrated films of Tarkovky. A truly masterpiece.
Such poetry. Very slow but absolutely breathtaking. A dark but utterly beautiful look at what one man decides to do to save us all, maybe
Least favorite Tarkovsky, but you KNOW this still has some jaw dropping compositions.

The story of a donkey Balthazar as he is passed from owner to owner, some kind and some cruel but all with motivations beyond his understanding.
