A great DeNiro performance against type. Sandra Bernhardt and Jerry Lewis were also fantastic. Another Scorsese classic.
Some great moments, but the second half didn’t quite connect with me. Worth a watch though, especially for Rupert’s confessional standup.
Intriguing little character study & great to see De Niro play a different type of role to the norm, Joker definitely got its influence here
Easily one of Deniros best performances. A pitch black comedy that nails celebrity idealism and how modern media is consumed like a drug.
I'm not gonna say it was bad, cause it wasn't really, it was just really weird and slightly confusing at the end. Not necessary to watch it.
A hilarious dark comedy. It’s great to see Scorsese go against his type and I had no idea DeNiro had so much comedic ability.
Greta premise and outlook onto the greatness of Scorsese. It is almost like a flashback from Todd Phillips’ Joker.
This one leaves you with a lot of questions. How much of it it was real? Regardless, really interesting look into mental health.
This film is a seriously good exploration of mental afflictions while also being funny and entertaining. It's the Joker before the Joker!
My least favorite Marty and Deniro collab from the time period, but it’s hard to stack up against Taxi Driver and Raging Bull
