Violent, vulgar everyman take on superheroes capped off by one of the most outrageous, comically epic deaths I’ve ever seen on screen.

Violent, subversive take on superheroes. Vaughn's bold direction blends dark humor and brutal action. Hit-Girl steals the show.

Brutal, gory, and fun take on the genre that moves quickly but still accomplishes all it sets out to do. Struggles between cute and violent.

Set the blueprint for the many gritty, bloody, stylized comic adaptations of the last decade

Some of the jokes feels childish near the beginning, but this is a great predecessor to the superhero satire genre with plenty of heart.

This movie actually paved the way for some of the more recent violent and explicit comic super hero adaptation films and tv shows.
