Van Damme does art. This was a real surprise. It's funny and off beat, but also an unexpected moment of honesty and vulnerability from JCVD
An entertaining meta-film. JCVD plays himself, down on his luck, and taken hostage in a bank robbery. It's not a typical JCVD movie.
Very personal movie that made me feel more for JCVD and left me emotionally satisfied.

There is a moment where JCVD the caricature transforms into JCVD the man, audiences are won and lost at this moment. I was won.
Probably Van Damme’s best film. The emotional monologue he performs to the audience mid film is beautiful.
Lots to like in the presentation but the story isn’t super fascinating and the guy is interesting enough, just not fully fleshed out

Well performed by Van Damme. Not his best movie overall, but possibly his best performance.
